Albany College of Pharmacy of Union University (ACP) was founded in 1881 as the Department of Pharmacy of Union University. Throughout its history, ACP has built a reputation as a premier pharmacy institution. In this new era of health care, with scientific advances playing an ever-increasing role in medicine, we have built on this reputation by broadening our academic focus to include new programs in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical technology, cytotechnology and clinical laboratory sciences. New programs developed in recent years to complement the traditional pharmacy curriculum are Bachelor of Science degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health and Human Sciences and Biomedical Technology (the latter with concentrations in Cytotechnology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences), and a Certificate Program in Cytotechnology.
